19th annual California Hot Rod Reunion presented by Automobile Club of Southern California

Oct. 15-17, 2010 at Auto Club Famoso Raceway, Bakersfield, Calif.: 19th Annual California Hot Rod Reunion presented by Automobile Club of Southern California, features hundreds of street rods, customs, and muscle cars as well as the California Hot Rod Reunion Swap Meet, Manufacturers Midway, and lots of celebrities. On Friday night, the California Hot Rod Reunion Reception will be held in the DoubleTree Hotel ballroom, and Saturday features qualifying for the drag racers. Plus the sensational Cacklefest will fill the grandstands as historic race cars push-start and then line up side by side where they all "cackle" simultaneously, lighting up the night, too!

2011 Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion.
NEW DATES: Thursday - Saturday, June 16-18, 2011, Beech Bend Raceway, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
The 8th annual Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion is a 3-day festival of speed, hot rods and American automotive enthusiasm. Featuring loads of family-fun activities such as the sensational Cacklefest and SoffSeal Show N Shine, the Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion brings to life the sights, sounds and people who made history in the early days of drag racing.
Pre-sale tickets (at least three weeks before the event) receive a “goodie” bag which includes a glossy Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion program, a commemorative dash plaque and a collectible souvenir credential.
Three-day credentials ($55 each) are available at 800/884-NHRA or online. Individual tickets are available day-of the event. Children 16 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

Racing Rules for Hot Rod Reunion Events and Hot Rod Heritage® Events
|
The HOT ROD REUNION™ is a series of events produced by the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California, and located in Pomona, Calif. The HOT ROD REUNION events are part of the museum’s “living history” philosophy, which works to bring to life the sights, sounds and people who made history in the early days of drag racing, land speed racing and the golden age of American car culture.
Unique among motorsports events, HOT ROD REUNION events honor some of the top names in hot rodding from the past and feature a fabulous array of cool drag cars, street rods and customs of the historic and present-day hot rod eras.
Each HOT ROD REUNION event features a wide variety of activities, including NHRA vintage drag racing, featuring some the sport’s most famous and historic cars and drivers racing in such classes at Nostalgia Top Fuel, Funny Car, Fuel Altereds, Supercharged Gassers, Classic Super Stock, Hot Rods and others.

Proceeds from the HOT ROD REUNION events benefit the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum. Founded in 1998 and named for the founder of the National Hot Rod Association, the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California houses the very roots of hot rodding. Scores of famous vehicles spanning American motorsports history are on display, including winning cars representing 50 years of drag racing, dry lakes and salt-flat racers, oval track challengers and exhibits describing their colorful backgrounds. |
